Hello, Vantara Labs

Why we started a UK product lab, what we are building, and what this blog is for.

  • company

This is the first post on the Vantara Labs blog, so it has some introducing to do.

Vantara Labs is a UK product lab. Vantara Labs Ltd is registered in England and Wales, and we build and run our own small software products. Some turn messy public datasets into something you can read without a statistics degree. Some help you think better about your own work.

Why another product company

The world doesn't need another product company. What it could use are more small ones that care about a specific kind of craft and stick with it long enough to get good.

A lot of useful public data is hidden behind bad interfaces. US congressional stock disclosures are published as PDFs. Reading them well is a job, not a browsing experience, and nobody with the incentive to fix that is paid for readability.

A lot of valuable private work lives in bad interfaces too: the half-formed thought you had on a walk, the connection you didn't make between two ideas three months apart, the note you can't find when you need it. Modern AI is genuinely good at these problems, provided someone builds a calm, focused tool rather than another productivity dashboard.

We think both kinds of tool should load fast on a phone, read clearly, and put the answer on the first screen.

What we're building

  • Pelosi Tracker, our first product, live at pelositracker.app. It takes the STOCK Act trade disclosures filed by members of the House and Senate and turns them into a readable dashboard instead of a pile of PDFs. It's free to browse, with paid Lite and Pro plans that add alerts and CSV export.
  • Leyden, our second product: AI-powered idea capture. Speak or type a thought and it is titled, tagged and linked to your related ideas. The core web app was built in early 2026, but Leyden is on hold and not publicly available.

Each product lives on its own domain with its own focus. The company exists so each one can stay small without reinventing infrastructure, design or legal every time.

How we work

  1. One job per product. Each tool earns its keep by doing one thing well.
  2. Boring infrastructure. Managed Google Cloud services, defined as code, so time goes into the product rather than into servers.
  3. Clear by default. Plain English, sensible defaults, and answers on the first screen.

What this blog is for

Product news when something ships, and occasional notes on how we build. Posts will be infrequent, so the RSS feed is the easiest way to follow along.

If you would like to talk to us, whether about press, one of the products, or just a question, the contact form reaches a real person.

Updated 27 September 2026 to correct the product details. The original version said Leyden was in private beta with a launch due this year; there was no beta, and Leyden is now on hold.
